Clackamas, OR \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Randolph Alan DeCoito Sr., 83, spent the final weeks of his life surrounded by his loving family and passed quietly at his home in the early morning hours of June 26, 2021.\r\n\r\nRandy was born in Honolulu, HI, May 3, 1938 to the late Gabriel and Thelma (Nascimento) DeCoito. He attended Saint Louis Catholic School for all 13 years of primary education and graduated in 1956. He then attended Northrup Aeronautical Institute in Los Angeles, California from 1956-1958, graduating with an engineering degree.\r\n\r\nHe was the branch manager of Montgomery\/Kone Elevator Co. in Honolulu which included Guam and the Far East. He retired after 47 years.\r\n\r\nHe moved to Oregon in 2002 with his family.\r\n\r\nNorthwest Elevator Co. sought him as service manager of their office in Portland, OR. He worked there for another 10 years.\r\n\r\nHe retired in 2009 after 57 years in the elevator business.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Annette (Carvalho) DeCoito; 3 daughters; Ann (Scott) Augst of Damascus, OR, Alena DeCoito of Oregon City, OR, Alexis DeCoito of Clackamas, OR; 5 sons Randy II (Kathy) of Lincoln, NE, Chuck (Lisa) of Makakilo, HI, Robert of Newport, OR, Scott (Jennifer) of Clackamas, OR, Austin of Milwaukie, OR; 7 grandchildren Jordan Augst of Damascus, OR, Aubree Augst of Oregon City, OR, Cara (Claire) DeCoito of Kansas City, MO, Chloe DeCoito of Omaha, NE, Courtney DeCoito of Mililani, HI, Chase DeCoito of Gresham, OR, Scott DeCoito Jr. of Clackamas, OR; 5 great-grandchildren; Atticus, Alyiah, Aria, Sophia & Landon.\r\n\r\nAlso surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews and cherished friends from a long and fulfilling life.\r\n\r\nRandy is pre-deceased by his parents; a sister; Diane Rego and in-laws; Albert and Isabell Carvalho.\r\n\r\nA mass celebrating Randy's life will be held at the Saint Louis High School Chapel Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 at 4:00 pm.
