Martin & Macarthur Unveils Wood Watches
Martin & MacArthur first introduced wood watches in 2010. Last year, the company introduced solid koa watches made from its own private stock of koa wood from the Hamakua district of the Big Island.
Other than the faces, the watches are solid exotic harwoods, including iliahi, purple heart, ebony and rosewood. The patina of the wood gets richer over the years as oils from the owner’s skin gradually condition it. All watches are water-resistant.
