Lesportsac’s New Hawaii Exclusive Print
LeSportsac has unveiled Moana Ahe, a Hawaii-exclusive print by artist Kat Reeder who lives in Ewa Beach. A unique fusion of pin-up art, 1960s tropicalia and art nouveau, the Moana Ahe print celebrates an exotic ideal of the past, with tropical beauties, romantic landscapes and nostalgic undertones.
“Most of my work is always inspired by music,” says Reeder, a Peruvian-American illustrator whose work can be seen in galleries throughout Hawaii, the Mainland and Japan. “For this print, I was listening to old Hawaiian music. I wanted to blend my kind of aesthetic of retro, vintage and nostalgic imagery with LeSportsac’s cheery and colorful style.”
