A former Department of Defense police officer at Kaneohe Marine base, Derek Hinkley of Kaneohe, has graduated from Officer Candidate School in Newport, R.I. as a Navy ensign. Derek also has degrees from New Mexico State and will now report with wife Tehani to Pensacola for flight training.
