Keeping to the family theme, Wendy Matsuzaki is now permanent principal at King Intermediate, replacing Sheena Alaiasa, who is now permanent principal at Castle High. Wendy has taught or administered at nine Windward schools, sort of like her mother Naomi, who’s currently doing award-winning work at Kahaluu Elementary … Speaking of King, Susan Thain reports a great discovery made while visiting King Intermediate: The office is hung with some amazing artwork by the students. “I was really impressed; it’s outstanding!” she says.
