With school back in ses- sion for most keiki, Farmers Insurance Hawaii is encour- aging students to think about safe ways to get to and from school. Middle and high school students are invited to submit videos of safe driving and pedestrian practices as a part of the Hot Shots video contest.<\/p>\n

The top submissions will receive $1,500, and their video will air on TV as a public service announcement. Second and third place winners will receive $1,000 and $500 cash prizes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hot Shots video contest allows students to deliver a serious traffic safety message in a fun way, while instilling safe driving habits at a young age and helping to make our streets safer for everyone,\u201d said Farmers Insurance Hawaii operations president Michele Saito. \u201cLast year, we were overwhelmed with the quality of the videos, which helped remind the community about the impor- tance of paying attention while driving, especially avoiding cell phone use and drinking and driving.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
