Hanauma Bay Education Program offers weekly lectures this month ranging from surf icons to the mating secrets of the octopus.<\/p>\n

All talks by local experts and researchers begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays in the park theater. They are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

The remaining programs for March are listed below<\/p>\n

* March 8 “Hawaii surf icons, their legacies, and ocean conservation” with Stuart Coleman, author of Eddie Would Go <\/I>and Fierce Heart<\/I>.<\/p>\n

* <\/I>March 15 Cuttlefish: King of Camouflage<\/I>, a film produced by the Public Television Program NOVA.<\/p>\n

* March 22 “What’s New with Box Jellies?” with Angel Yanagihara, assistant researcher for Pacific Biosciences Research Center at University of Hawaii at Manoa.<\/p>\n

* March 29 “Sexual Selection and Mating Displays in Octopus” with Heather Ylitalo-Ward, Ph.D. candidate in the UH Manoa Department of Zoology.<\/p>\n
