If residents stop by Aloha Stadium next Monday (May 28) between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to purchase local food and crafts, they will be helping the Ronald McDonald Charities of Hawaii.<\/p>\n
The stadium and its Swap Meet and Marketplace are partnering with Ronald McDonald House for the second event in the Shop & Grind for A Cause Series.<\/p>\n
Ronald McDonald House offers support for families with seriously ill children by providing them with a place to stay while their children are undergoing treatment in the hospital.<\/p>\n
The organization has two such houses located in Manoa, and also provides a support center at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.<\/p>\n
Aloha Stadium intends to collect 2,500 quarters for Ronald McDonald House and is requesting that attendees donate a quarter or more throughout the event.<\/p>\n
Participating vendors include Baja Style, Gourmet Hawaii Salt, Island Sandwich Creations, La Crepe Cafe, Kona Ice, North Shore Goodies and Thirty-One Gifts.<\/p>\n
