Notice is hereby given that Kiewit Corporation and the County of Kaua’i will hold an Open House and Presentation on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Kaua’i War Memorial Convention Hall (Exhibit Hall B) 4191 Hardy Street, Lihu’e, on the following:<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nStatus on the LIHUE TOWN CORE MOBILITY AND REVITALIZATION PROJECT (LTCMR)<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/i><\/u><\/font><\/p>\n

This Open House and Presentation will provide information and status of the project including an Overview of the construction phasing of the construction work anticipated to be completed by December 18, 2019. The presentation will include representatives of the County of Kauai and Kiewit Corporation.<\/p>\n

This project is funded in part from the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) program. TIGER grants are targeted investments for local communities that will increase safety, create jobs and modernize the country’s infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The Lihu’e Town Core Mobility and Revitalization Project will improve bicycling, walking and transit conditions in the town core. The project includes streetscape improvements and road diet, development of a transit service center, new sidewalks and a shared use path, and converting existing streets to a transit hub and bicycle boulevard.<\/p>\n
