\nNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS<\/p>\n

<\/u><\/font><\/p>\n

Pursuant to Chapter 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation (DOT), Highways Division, will hold public hearings relating to the following Hawaii Administrative Rules. The purpose of these proposed rules is to implement requirements brought about by changes to the federal rules.
\n <\/font>Chapter 19-141<\/b><\/font> is amended by updating the date of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (Title 49, Parts 383, 385, 386 and 390-399 Code of Federal Regulations) that are adopted and incorporated into this chapter as they existed on May 31, 2018.
\n <\/font>Chapter 19-145<\/b><\/font> is amended by updating the date of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations relating to Hazardous Materials (Title 49, Parts 107, 171-173, 177, 178 and 180 Code of Federal Regulations) that are adopted and incorporated into this chapter as they existed on May 31, 2018.
\n The public hearings will be held by video conference on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the following locations:

\n<\/font> Kauai<\/u><\/font>: DOT Highways Division District Office Conference Room, 1720 Haleukana Street, Lihue, HI 96766
\n<\/font> Kona<\/u><\/font>: Kona International Airport Conference Room, 73-200 Kupipi Street, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740
\n <\/font>Honolulu<\/u><\/font>: DOT 5th Floor Conference Room, 869 Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
\n<\/font> Interested persons are invited to present their views on the proposed rules at the public hearings. Written comments will be accepted through Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the following address:

A copy of the rules may be reviewed in person at the hearing locations above from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
