Pursuant to Chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism, will hold a public hearing on the following:<\/p>\n

(1) Adoption of proposed rules for Chapter 15-38, Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR), relating to the “Research and Development Grant Program.”<\/p>\n

<\/font> (1) <\/b><\/font>Proposed rules for Chapter 15-38 HAR, “Hawaii Research and Development Program” implementing Act 141 , Session Laws of Hawaii (SLH) 2018<\/p>\n

\n d. Application procedure
\n e. Consideration and review of applications
\n f. Preferences and priorities in making grants
\n g. Maximum grant amount and disbursement
\n h. Inspection and completion
\n i. Acknowledgement<\/p>\n

<\/font>On Oahu<\/u><\/font>:<\/b><\/font> An information session will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by the hearings on January 22, 2018 at the Manoa Innovation Center, 2nd floor Board Room, 2800 Woodlawn Drive, Honolulu, Hawaii 96822.<\/p>\n

<\/font> All interested persons may attend the public hearings or a live streaming site to provide testimony on the proposed rules orally or in writing. Persons may submit written testimony by email to: <\/font>testimony@htdc.org<\/u><\/font>, or by mail to: HTDC, Hawaii Grant Rules, 2800 Woodlawn Drive #120, Honolulu, HI 96822. Written testimony must be received by 4:00 p.m. on January 16, 2018.<\/p>\n

The proposed rules are available online at <\/font>www.dbedt.hawaii.gov<\/u><\/font>. The rules may also be viewed during business hours Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm at HTDC, 2800 Woodlawn Drive, #120, Honolulu, HI 96822. Interested persons may also make written request for a mailed copy by indicating mailing address in correspondence sent to the HTDC address above. Cost is $15 which includes copying and postage.<\/p>\n

Any person requiring a special accommodation (i.e. large print materials, sign language interpreters) should make a request by emailing <\/font>testimony@htdc.org<\/u><\/font> or writing to the HTDC address above or by calling 539-3794. The request must be received at least 7 days before the hearing date.<\/p>\n
