\nNotice of Proposed Rule Adoption<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

The State of Hawaii Department of Defense, Office of Veterans Services is proposing to adopt a new rule within the Hawaii Administrative Rules, Chapter 7-31. It is proposed to amend HAR § 7-31-4 by adding § 7-31-4.3. This proposed rule is based in Hawaii Revised Statutes § 363-13. The proposed rule concerns disbursement of World War II Filipino veterans burial grant funds.
\nA copy of the proposed rule to be adopted is contained on the Lieutenant Governor’s website http://dod.hawaii.gov/ovs/legislation/<\/u> <\/p>\n

A copy of the proposed rule to be adopted will be mailed to any interested person who requests a copy. Requests may be made in writing to:

The proposed rule may be reviewed in person at the above address during regular business hours (7:45AM to 12:00 Noon, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weekends).<\/p>\n

Public hearings concerning the proposed rules will be held on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai. All interested persons may submit data, views, or arguments orally or in writing. The hearings will be held on the following dates, times, and locations:<\/p>\n

Following these public hearings, the Office of Veterans Services will fully consider all oral and written testimony. The Office will render a decision concerning the proposed rule within 30 days following the last hearing noted above.
