\nNotice is hereby given that the Hawaii Department of Transportation, (HDOT), in coordination with the Federal
\nHighway Administration (FHWA), proposes to construct the project titled “Installation of Pavement Preservation
\nStrategies and Surface Treatment at Various Locations”, in the Hanalei District on the Island of Kauai. HDOT
\nproposes to reconstruct pavement, cold planing, resurfacing and surface treatment. All work will be done within
\nthe State Highways rights-of-way.
\nPursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (Amended 2006), Native Hawaiian
\nOrganizations and Native Hawaiian descendants with ancestral lineal or cultural ties to, cultural knowledge
\nor concerns for, and cultural or religious attachment to the historic resources of the ahupua’a of Kilauea,
\nNamahana or Kalihiwai are requested to contact Mr. Larry Dill, Hawaii Department of Transportation,
