\nNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO
\nTHE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING COMMERCIAL BOATING ACTIVITIES AT COUNTY BEACH PARKS
\nPART IV<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

Pursuant to Section 91-3, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Department of Parks and Recreation of the County of Kaua’i will hold a public hearing on September 3, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter, at the Lihu’e Civic Center, Mo’ikeha Building, Meeting Room 2A/2B, 4444 Rice Street, Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Hawai’i on the proposed amendments to the Rules and Regulations Governing Commercial Boating Activities at County Beach Parks Part IV.<\/p>\n

The Department of Parks and Recreation proposes to amend its existing Rules and Regulations Governing Commercial Boating Activities at County Beach Parks by: 1) moderately extending the allowable hours of operation; 2) amending compliance and enforcement provisions to allow for incremental fines rather than automatic permit revocation; 3) minor non-substantive changes in formatting and language; and 4) clarifying the scope of commercial activity that may be carried out at the County’s Weke Road Boat Ramp.<\/p>\n

All interested persons who wish to present their testimony may do so at the public hearing. Written testimony prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Written testimony may be submitted to the Department of Parks and Recreation by mail, facsimile, or via e-mail to <\/font>dagaran@kauai.gov<\/u><\/font>. Copies of the proposed amendments are available at the Department of Parks and Recreation in the Lihu’e Civic Center, Mo’ikeha Building, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 105, Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, during normal business hours, or on the Department of Parks and Recreation’s website at <\/font>www.kauai.gov/parks<\/u><\/font>. <\/p>\n

A copy of the proposed amendments will be mailed to any interested person who calls the Department of Parks and Recreation at 241-4460 or mails a request to the Department of Parks and Recreation at 4444 Rice Street, Suite 105, Lihu’e, HI 96766, giving his or her name and address.<\/p>\n
