In Hawaii, WAP funds are used to help low-income households reduce their energy costs by providing energy conservation education and weatherization measures on a statewide basis.<\/p>\n<p>The State Office of Community Services (OCS) will be holding a public hearing on the PY19 WAP State Plan on <\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"><b>Friday, August 30, 2019 at 9&#058;30 a.m.<\/b><\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"> at the <\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"><b>Office of Community Services, 830 Punchbowl Street, Room 420, Ke&#8217;elikolani Building<\/b><\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\">, Honolulu, HI 96813.  This is the second public hearing on the PY 2019 State Plan.  OCS is seeking a procurement exemption to designate Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc., Kauai Economic Opportunity, Inc., Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council, and Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. as the subgrantees of the WAP grant funding, pursuant to 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) &sect;440.15.  A copy of the State Plan is available at <\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"><u>http&#058;&#047;&#047;labor.hawaii.gov&#047;ocs&#047;service-programs-index&#047;weatherization-assistance-program&#047;<\/u><\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"> or can be provided upon request (<\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\"><u>Courtney.N.Ho@hawaii.gov<\/u><\/font><font size=\"2\" color=\"#000000\">  or (808)586-8624).
