<\/b><\/u><\/font><\/p>\n

LIHU’E – The Department of Public Works and Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. are<\/font> <\/font>announcing that construction will continue Northbound on Ho’olako Street, closing a<\/font> portion of that Street to traffic. Work will be from December 16 through January 31, weather permitting.<\/p>\n

The traffic detour will be in place on Ho’olako Street from the Vidinha Stadium entrance through Ninini Point Street (northern most street adjacent to the stadium).<\/p>\n

<\/font> Part of Phase 1 of the Lihu’e Town Core Mobility and Revitalization project, the<\/font> scope of reconstruction work for Ho’olako Street consists of demolition and grading for sidewalks; installation of drainage structures and improvements; and roadway reconstruction.<\/p>\n

Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time when driving near the work areas, use alternate routes, and to observe and follow all construction traffic controls. Please exercise caution when commuting through the work areas. Access to businesses along Ho’olako Street will be maintained during construction.<\/p>\n
