\nNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED RULES AND REGULATIONS ON THE USE OF SPORTS FIELDS/STADIUM FACILITIES AND PLAYGROUNDS<\/p>\n

<\/u><\/font><\/p>\n

Pursuant to Section 91-3, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Department of Parks and Recreation of the County of Kaua’i will hold a public hearing on April 7, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter, at the Lihu’e Civic Center, Mo’ikeha Building, Meeting Room 2A/2B, 4444 Rice Street, Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Hawai’i on the proposed Rules and Regulations on the Use of Sports Fields/Stadium Facilities and Playgrounds.<\/p>\n

The Department of Parks and Recreation proposes to adopt Rules and Regulations on the Use of Sports Fields/Stadium Facilities and Playgrounds to: 1) establish uniform rules and regulations for the use of County sports fields/stadium facilities and playgrounds; 2) provide equitable opportunities to use sports fields/stadium facilities and playgrounds through a reservation and enforcement system to prevent abuse and misuse of sports fields/stadium facilities and playgrounds; and 3) provide reasonable control of recreational activities.<\/p>\n

All interested persons who wish to present their testimony may do so at the public hearing. Written testimony prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Written testimony may be submitted to the Department of Parks and Recreation by mail, facsimile, or via e-mail to <\/font>dagaran@kauai.gov<\/u><\/font>. Copies of the proposed rules are available at the Department of Parks and Recreation in the Lihu’e Civic Center, Mo’ikeha Building, 4444 Rice Street, Suite 105, Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, during normal business hours, or on the Department of Parks and Recreation’s website at <\/font>www.kauai.gov/parks<\/u><\/font>. <\/p>\n

A copy of the proposed rules will be mailed to any interested person who calls the Department of Parks and Recreation at 241-4460 or mails a request to the Department of Parks and Recreation at 4444 Rice Street, Suite 105, Lihu’e, HI 96766, giving his or her name and address.<\/p>\n
