\n<\/font> <\/font>A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, KAUA’I COUNTY CODE 1987, <\/font>AS AMENDED, RELATING TO DEFINITIONS <\/font>(County of Kaua’i Planning Department, Applicant) (ZA-2016-3)<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/font> This Bill proposes to amend Chapter 8, Section 8-1.5, Kaua’i County Code 1987,<\/font> as amended, relating to Definitions. The purpose of this Bill is to amend the <\/font>definitions of “Applicant” and “Owner” by eliminating the seventy-five percent (75%)<\/font> or more equitable and legal title requirement. This Bill would also eliminate from the definition of “Applicant,” “any person leasing the land of another under a recorded lease having a term of not less than five (5) years.”<\/p>\n

\n A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8-4.3(d), KAUA’I COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES NOT INVOLVING THE SUBDIVISION OF LAND <\/font>(County of Kaua’i Planning Department, Applicant) (ZA-2020-13)<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/font> This Bill proposes to amend Section 8-4.3(d), Kaua’i County Code 1987, as amended, relating to Residential Development Standards For Residential Structures Not Involving The Subdivision Of Land, to amend the lot coverage standards for development of properties within the “R-10” and “R-20” Zoning Districts. The proposed amendment seeks to encourage development of infill workforce housing within the existing State Land Use Urban District, pursuant to goals and objectives of the 2018 Kaua’i General Plan.<\/p>\n

All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimony prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Written testimony can be submitted to the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division by mail, facsimile, or via E-mail to counciltestimony@kauai.gov. Copies of these Bills are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division.<\/p>\n

(The Council Committee or Council may amend these Bills at their subsequent <\/font>meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least six (6) days in advance at the County <\/font>Clerk’s Office and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)<\/font><\/p>\n
