\nMAUI PLANNING COMMISSION<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

The Maui Planning Commission of the County of Maui hereby gives notice of a public hearing on June 23, 2020, commencing at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable either at the Planning Department Conference Room, 250 South High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, 96793 or via the BlueJeans videoconferencing platform on the following matter:<\/p>\n

<\/font>SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREA USE PERMIT<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/u><\/font> KAMAOLE GRAND LLC requesting a Special Management Area Permit five- year time extension to initiate construction of Kamaole Grand consisting of seven residential buildings comprised of 217 condominium residences, a recreation center, barbeque areas, swimming pool, and all associated improvements including grading, parking areas, utility connections and landscaping, as well as a transfer of ownership of said permit from Nokaoi Development LP to Kamaole Grand LLC, located at 2455 South Kihei Road, <\/font> Kihei, Maui, Hawaii, TMK (2) 3-9-020:007 (SM1 2016/007) (C. Thackerson)<\/p>\n

<\/font>The subject public hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui County Code and Rules of the Maui Planning Commission, and/or as they may be suspended by Mayoral or Gubernatorial Emergency Proclamation. Information pertaining to the subject application may be obtained from the Maui County Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Maui, or planning@mauicounty.gov if offices are closed to the public. <\/p>\n

Petitions to intervene shall be in conformity with Section 12-201-20 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Maui Planning Commission and shall be filed with the Commission and served upon the applicant no less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing date. Filing of all documents to the Commission is c/o the Maui Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793. <\/font>The deadline for the filing of a timely petition to intervene if the first public hearing date is June 23, 2020 is June 8, 2020.<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/font>All testimony regarding the application may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department Planning if offices are open to the public, or via email if offices are closed, or may be presented at said hearing if the hearing is not closed to the public. Written testimony may be submitted by mail to: Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, or by email to planning@mauicounty.gov. Written testimony must be received by the Planning Department before the public hearing closes on June 23, 2020. Further information will be provided on the posted meeting agenda.<\/p>\n
