\nNOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF ARPA FUNDING AWARDS TO ELIGIBLE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SERVING KAUAI COUNTY<\/p>\n

\n<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

APPLICATIONS for funding <\/font>will be available at 8 a.m. HST on October 5, 2021<\/b><\/font>,<\/font> at the Amplifund grant application system website whose address will be provided in the posted guidelines. Applications must be completed in the online Amplifund system on or before 4:30 p.m. HST, Thursday, October 28, 2021. <\/font>The deadline noted here is not a postmark date. Applications must be submitted via the Amplifund System.<\/b><\/font> Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.<\/p>\n

<\/font> In May 2021 the U.S. Department of Treasury allocated funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) to the County of Kaua’i (County) for COVID-19 response, relief and reinvestment. The County is allocating up to five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for the Non-Profit Recovery Grant Program. These funds are to be used to mitigate financial hardship caused by decline in revenue such as the loss of donations or fundraising revenue due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.<\/p>\n

<\/font> This program is based on the availability of funds, and applications must be in <\/font>compliance with<\/b><\/u><\/font> program guidelines <\/font>as well as<\/b><\/font> submission of all required information and supporting documentation. Non-profits may be eligible to receive up to fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000). The grant may be used for working capital to cover the day-to-day operating expenses such as rent/lease payments, mortgage payments, utility expenses, payroll and benefits costs, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) or other similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of operations that have not been covered by other federal support programs or insurance claim proceeds.<\/p>\n

<\/font> Specific details regarding the application and required documentation will be provided in the program guidelines document.<\/p>\n

<\/font> All applications will be reviewed subject to the County of Kauai’s application review process. Notification of approval for funding shall be made no later than November 23, 2021.<\/p>\n

<\/font> There will be an online webinar on the application and its process on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. <\/font>Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. <\/b><\/font>Here is the link for the webinar:<\/p>\n

<\/u><\/font> The guidelines, <\/font>which will be made available no later than 8:00am September 30, 2021, at<\/b><\/font> <\/font>www.kauaiforward.com/non-profit-recovery-grant<\/u><\/font> will be reviewed at this time. Potential applicants can submit questions about the Request for Applications ahead of time to be covered at the webinar to the Office of Economic Development at <\/font>oedgrants@kauai.gov<\/u><\/font>. There will also be a Question and Answer session following the presenters.<\/font><\/p>\n
