\nNOTICE TO ATTORNEYS INTERESTED IN PROVIDING LEGAL SERVICES
\nTO THE STATE OF HAWAII<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

Licensed attorneys who wish to provide legal services to the State for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2023, are invited to submit a Statement of Qualifications and Expression of Interest to the Attorney General pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §103D–304, as the need arises.<\/p>\n

A new statement must be signed and <\/font>electronically<\/b><\/u><\/font> submitted pursuant to this Notice, even if you submitted a statement in the past. <\/font>Attorneys from the same firm must submit separate statements.<\/b><\/font> Please submit your statement(s) electronically to: <\/font>HAWAIIAG@HAWAII.GOV<\/u><\/font>. In the SUBJECT LINE, please indicate STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATION FOR FY2023-2024. A confirmation will be sent.<\/p>\n

In the past, we have contracted for legal services in the following areas. Attorneys may list other areas of practice <\/font>but are limited to no more than three areas.

\n False Claims Act, UDAP, antitrust, mass torts, IDEA – special education, public assistance)
\n class actions) Public Utilities and Energy Law
\nConstruction Law Real Property and Environmental Law (including
\nCriminal Law (including criminal prosecutions, financing, development, subdivisions,
\n defense, appeals) conveyances, transactions, permits, Native
\nEmployment Law Rights, historical preservation, land-use law,
\nFamily Law (including Hawaii domestic relations commercial leasing, time share, water law,
\n orders, probate law, guardianships, ACT orders, real-property acquisitions and encumbrances)
\n estates and trusts, Chapter 334, mental health Securities Law
\nFederal Legislation Taxation (including enforcement and collection
\nHealth Law (including hospital administration and of Hawaii Taxes, and prosecution and
\n management, Affordable Care Act, Health defense of State Tax Appeals
\n Insurance Portability and Accountability Act- Technology Law (including information and
\n HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid) computer technology law, computer litigation
\nImmigration Law and cyber security; telecommunications law
\nInsurance (including fixed wire, cable, internet, satellite,
\nIntellectual Property (patents, trademarks, e911 law)), communications law
\n copyrights, licensing, & Transactional law, including business law
\n contract negotiations/drafting) contracts, corporate law,
\nInternational Law (including international trade) financial institutions/banking
\n Transportation Law (including aviation law,
\n maritime law, admiralty)<\/p>\n

<\/font>Your completed statements must be electronically received by the Hawaii State Department of the Attorney General by 11:59PM Friday, June 2, 2023, to be eligible for consideration for the entire fiscal year commencing July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024. NO HARD COPIES, CDs, OR FACSIMILES SHALL BE ACCEPTED.<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/font>A statement electronically received after June 2, 2023, will be considered a “late submittal” for the balance of the fiscal year as follows: <\/p>\n
