\nREQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (“RFP”)
\nCOUNTY OF KAUAI OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
\nINNOVATION GRANTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

APPLICATIONS for funding for the County of Kauai Innovation Grants will be available at 8:00 a.m. HST on August 2, 2023 for the County of Kauai Innovation Grants for Fiscal Year 2023-2024. Applications must be received on or before 4:30 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time on Friday, September 1, 2023 via the Amplifund System. Applicants will be notified of funding during the week of October 16, 2023. <\/u><\/font>We are not accepting proposals through US Mail, email or by fax. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered. The County reserves the right to reject any proposal.<\/p>\n

<\/font>The project funding period will be November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024. The intent of the grant program is to deploy innovation on-island in the areas of small business, technology, transportation, agriculture, local manufacturing, creative industries, workforce development, circular economies, tourism destination management and product development. Proposals must identify a known deficiency, problem, or need within the Kauai community and deploy an innovative community project that will be or has been successful in other contexts. Proposals submitted shall be reviewed and considered for the receipt of funding, to applicant organizations.<\/p>\n

<\/font>A zoom meeting to discuss the RFP will be held on <\/font>Thursday, August 17, 2023<\/b><\/font> <\/font>at 10:00 a.m. at the following link:

\nWe will be posting the recorded webinar on <\/font>http://www.kauaiforward.com<\/u><\/font> by August 21, 2023. The deadline for submitting written questions is Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. via <\/font>oedgrants@kauai.gov<\/u><\/font>.<\/p>\n

<\/font>Notification of OED’s approval and recommendation for funding will be made the week of October 16, 2023.<\/p>\n
