The County of Kaua’i, Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division (County) is proposing a vertical expansion of Phase II of the Kekaha Landfill. Pursuant to the requirements of Hawai’i Revised Statutes (HRS) Chapter 343 and Hawai’i Administrative Rules (HAR) §11-200.1, the County is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) to evaluate the potential environmental effects of the proposed action.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the public meeting is to share information, answer questions about the design, and take comments.<\/p>\n

All interested persons are invited to review the plan available at <\/font>www.kauai.gov/KekahaLFexpansion<\/u><\/font>. <\/p>\n

Written comments or questions may be submitted anytime by email to solidwaste@kauai.gov. Please include "vertical expansion" in your email subject heading.<\/p>\n
