\n A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7A, ARTICLE 9,
\n KAUA’I COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR WORKFORCE HOUSING<\/p>\n

This Bill proposes to add a new Subsection 7A-9.4.1 to Chapter 7A,
\nArticle 9, Kaua’i County Code 1987, as amended, relating to Government Assistance for Workforce Housing. This Bill proposes to implement a Residential Workforce Housing Credit System, which will provide a new non-governmental source of financing for affordable housing while simultaneously providing additional pathways to generate market rate housing quicker. <\/p>\n

\n KAUA’I COUNTY CODE 1987, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO HOUSING ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION<\/p>\n

This Bill proposes to amend Chaper 7A, Article 5, Kaua’i County Code 1987, as amended, relating to Housing Eligibility and Selection. This Bill proposes to add provisions authorizing the Housing Agency to approve the use of various preferences to prioritize amongst otherwise eligible Homebuyer list participants, including project employee, geographical, and other as established by rule.<\/p>\n

Any person may testify at the public hearing, and at any Council and Committee Meeting (at which time any Bill may be amended). Meeting
\nnotices and full-text Bills are available at least six (6) days in advance
