\n A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2024-896,
\n AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE
\n COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
\n JULY 1, 2024 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND, HIGHWAY FUND, G.E. TAX FUND,
\n SOLID WASTE FUND, SEWER FUND, AND GOLF FUND<\/p>\n

This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance No. B-2024-896, as amended, relating to the Operating Budget of the County of Kaua’i, State of Hawai’i, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, by revising the amounts estimated in the General Fund, Highway Fund, G.E. Tax Fund, Solid Waste Fund, Sewer Fund, and Golf Fund. This Bill appropriates $6,200,276.00 to fund the Settlement Agreement with the United Public Workers (UPW), Bargaining Unit 01 (BU-01) employees for the purpose on Temporary Hazard Pay (THP) for exposure to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 for BU-01 members employed during the period of March 4, 2020 to March 5, 2022, including portions thereof, and to resolve the various THP class grievances submitted by UPW. <\/p>\n

Any person may testify at the public hearing, and at any Council and Committee Meeting (at which time any Bill may be amended).
