\n A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2024-896,
\n <\/font>AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE
\n COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
\n<\/font> JULY 1, 2024 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND, HIGHWAY FUND, G.E. TAX FUND,
\n SOLID WASTE FUND, SEWER FUND, AND GOLF FUND <\/font>(HGEA Temporary Hazard Pay)<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/font> This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance No. B-2024-896, as amended, relating to the Operating Budget of the County of Kaua’i, State of Hawai’i, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, by revising the amounts estimated in the General Fund, Highway Fund, G.E. Tax Fund, Solid Waste Fund, Sewer Fund, and Golf Fund. This Bill appropriates $6,681,414.00 to fund the Settlement Agreement with the Hawai’i Government Employees Association, Local 152, AFSCME, AFL-CIO (HGEA), Bargaining Units (BU) 02, 03, 04, 13, 14, and 15 employees for the purpose of Temporary Hazard Pay (THP) for exposure to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 for BU members employed during the period of March 4, 2020 to March 5, 2022, including portions thereof, and to resolve the various THP class grievances submitted by HGEA.<\/p>\n

Any person may testify at the public hearing, and at any Council
\nand Committee Meeting (at which time any Bill may be amended).
