\nREQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (“RFP”)
\nCOUNTY OF KAUAI OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
\nINNOVATION GRANTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026<\/p>\n

<\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

APPLICATIONS for funding for the County of Kauai Innovation Grants will be available at 8<\/font>am HST on Friday, August 1, 2025,<\/b><\/font> for the County of Kauai Innovation Grants for <\/font>Fiscal Year 2025-2026. <\/b><\/font>Applications must be received on or before 4:00 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time on <\/font>Tuesday, September 2, 2025,<\/b><\/font> via the SMApply System. Applicants will be notified of funding during the week of <\/font>October 13, 2025.<\/b><\/font> The weblink to the application at SMApply can be found here: <\/font><\/p>\n

We do not accept proposals through US Mail, hand delivery, email or by fax. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered. The County reserves the right to reject any proposal.<\/p>\n

<\/font>The project funding period will be upon full execution of the Grant Agreement through October 30, 2026. The intent of the grant program is to deploy innovation on-island in the areas of small business, technology, transportation, energy, agriculture, local manufacturing, creative industries, workforce development, circular economies, tourism destination management and product development. Proposals must identify a known deficiency, problem, or need within the Kauai community and deploy an innovative community project that will be or has been successful in other contexts. Proposals submitted shall be reviewed and considered for the receipt of funding, to applicant organizations.<\/p>\n

<\/u><\/font>We will be posting the recorded webinar on <\/font>http://www.kauaiforward.com<\/u><\/font> by <\/font>Tuesday, August 19 2025.<\/b><\/font> The deadline for submitting written questions is <\/font>Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.<\/b><\/font> via <\/font>oedgrants@kauai.gov<\/u><\/font>.<\/p>\n

<\/font>Notification of OED’s approval and recommendation for funding will be made the week of <\/font>October 13, 2025.<\/p>\n
