\nOPENING AND CLOSING OF THE COUNTY OF KAUAI’S SECTION 8
\nHOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER WAITLIST
\nThe County of Kauai is opening its Wait List for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher
\nProgram. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 8 Housing
\nChoice Voucher Program provides rental assistance to eligible households. Online
\napplications will be accepted from Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 8:00 am through Friday,
\nJuly 20, 2018 at 3:00 pm. Submitted pre-applications will be randomized, and through
\na lottery, a selected number of applications will be placed on the waiting list. There
\nis no fi rst-come, fi rst-served advantage, and only one application will be allowed per
\nhousehold. There is no guarantee for eligibility or housing assistance after applying.
\nApplications will be accepted online from Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 8:00 am to Friday,
\nJuly 20, 2018 3:00 pm at: www.waitlistcheck.com/hi005.
\nTHERE IS NO COST TO APPLY
\nThe County of Kauai does not discriminate against any person because of race, color,
\nreligion, familial status, age, disability, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual
\norientation, gender identity expression, or HIV status. A person requiring special
\nassistance to participate should request reasonable accommodations upon
\nsetting of appointment.
